Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
Starlen Cyber Inc. ("Starlen", "we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website and the clients we serve. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled, in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide through our website, including:
- Contact form submissions (name, email, company, and message)
- Cyber Insurance Readiness Assessment responses and, if provided, follow-up contact details
- Any information you send us directly by email
We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health records) through this website. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
2. How We Use Your Information
Information you submit is used only to respond to your inquiry, provide the assessment results you requested, and, where you've consented, follow up about our services. Assessment answers may be used internally, in aggregate and de-identified form, to improve our services.
3. How We Store and Protect Your Information
Contact form and Cyber Insurance Readiness Assessment submissions are processed and stored on application infrastructure operated in the United States and India. We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and restricted internal access. We do not offer Canada-only data residency for information submitted through this website at this time.
Separately, the managed security services we deliver to clients (such as backup and endpoint security telemetry) are provisioned through our security vendor's certified Canadian data centers. This is distinct from, and does not apply to, website form submissions described above.
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate this website and deliver our services. Email notifications for form submissions are sent using Resend, a third-party email delivery provider, and are subject to Resend's own terms and infrastructure. These providers are contractually and technically limited to processing data only as needed to provide their service to us.
5. Your Rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and withdraw consent for future contact at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
6. Cookies
This website may use minimal, functional cookies necessary for the site to operate correctly. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
